Our initial meeting gives you the opportunity to discuss your desires and needs in a web site, either new or a redesign of your existing site, and for me to discuss my approach to meeting these requirements. This includes domain name, purpose statement, target audience, marketing plans, and level of maintenance you will need from me. There is not a charge for this consultation.

I then design the layout which defines the overall structure of the web site, and gives an overview of the pages. I use your company's existing artwork, logos, color schemes, trademarks, and marketing themes to develop a preliminary layout for your home page. Once this is approved, development begins.

At this step in the design process, I merge pages defined in the storyboard phase with your text and the graphic design layout. Images, media, text, and sounds on each web page carry your message to existing and potential new customers, and search engines. Verification of spelling, of pages loading properly on the standard browsers, of links working, and of required functions working are parts of this step.

During the final step, your web site will be uploaded to the web server and optimized for the major search engines so that you rank as high as possible in your industry. The higher your ranking in the search engines, the more site traffic you can expect, and with more traffic, come more sales. This is an ongoing process if you want to stay on top of the ranking, and is part of the maintenance program I can discuss with you during our meeting.
